This Site is the Coolest!

I spent some time researching different sites for this blog post, but when I came across Feed I was really blown away.

Feed is a digital security company specializing in protecting its users' data and ideas. While focusing mainly on music, the website design itself transcends boundaries. One of the most compelling aspects to this site is the truly creative mix of both animation and video. Once you first view the site, you are instantly immersed into a new type of user experience.

Some of the ways this site differs from most sites is the truly unique scroll navigation. As you scroll down the site, the content loads in both vertical and horizontal directions. While this in itself is not a new innovation, the way the content loads is creative. You can scroll from one section to another as opposed to just clicking on the main navigation. It is worth mentioning that the site relies heavily on the user's interest in scrolling.

One of my favorite aspects of the site can be found in the Tech Spotlight section. As you scroll down the the page, the imagery on the right contrasts and expands, creating new images with ease. At the same time, the copy on the left loads to match the newly created images.

I am pretty sure the site was made with HTML5 and Javascript - however there may be some additional tools that I am not aware of yet.

I had a lot of fun exploring this site and really immersing myself in what Feed is trying to convey to the world.
